Sponsored Student Christmas Gifts

Option 1: We shop for your sponsored student - $20

Thank you for participating in this year’s christmas gift program!! As in the past, we have 2 options for you to participate.

  1. Send a $20 donation per student here (Any extra funds received over and above $20/student will be used to help us get even more gifts for students not yet sponsored, or students whose sponsor cannot participate. We want EVERY student in our reach to get something special this Christmas!)
  2. Restore Haiti will shop for and put together a gift specifically for your sponsored student(s).
  3. Mail or email us a letter/card or photo from you to include in the package. Email letters/Notes/Photos to teri@restorehaiti.com or mail to her at: Teri Backus/Restore Haiti, 78 Ivory Way, Henrietta NY 14467

Option 2: You shop for your sponsored student: pack a gallon sized ziplock, and add $5 for shipping/customs

Shop for your student(s), but please follow the below guidelines:

  1. Each student may receive (1) gallon-sized ziplock bag (exception: shoes. If you would like to send shoes and they don’t fit in the bag, please wrap them in a plastic grocery store bag and attach them to your gallon ziplock gift with packaging tape). **Note: if gifts sent for a student exceed the limitations, some items may be returned or separated out to go down at a later date. We need to get over 1000 gifts to Haiti by Christmas, so space is limited!
  2. Packages must be sent to Restore Haiti no later than October 25th in order to ensure we can get the students these gifts in time, and that gifts get to right community in Haiti
  3. Label the gift with the students name, which community they are in, and your (sponsors) name. You may use a piece of paper or index card and put inside the ziplock bag, positioned so that we can see it through the front of the bag.
  4. Highly consider purchasing specific items, depending on their age/gender, included in the chart below.
  5. Do NOT send items on the exclusion list. Please pay close attention to the items listed below that are NOT allowed for various safety, security, customs, and cultural reasons.
  • Below are images indicating how items should be packed and labeled. This is critical for us to be able to manage a large distribution with limited time.
Note: Soap can melt and stink up the bag. Soapy tasting candy is gross
