A Look Back at 2024

2024 brought so many challenges to Haiti with drastic inflation, unstable leadership, gang violence and the worst food scarcity crisis in its history. Rising food prices and lack of available food in Haiti impacted our Feeding Programs, at times our students were not able to go to school due to gangs taking over communities, and we had local community members coming to our staff in Haiti almost every day asking for food as hunger was at an all-time high. Despite these extreme challenges, our truly amazing Haitian staff persevered and innovatively continued to support our students and communities and successfully operate our Sponsorship and Feeding programs and our Medical Clinics.

Below are end of year messages and a look at how we are moving forward in 2025 from our Director of National Operations, Fedony Charles, and our Chairman of the Board, Reynold Yordy.

With 2025 now upon us, we look forward to continuing to empower the 1,000 students in our Sponsorship Program and the members of the three communities that we serve. With your ongoing support, whether it is financial, following us on social media, reading these news posts, sponsoring a student or through prayer, we appreciate each and every one of you and will continue to adhere to our mission of empowering communities to rise from a culture of desperation to one of restored hope and self-sustainability, despite what hardships may come our way.
