Feeding Program / Solar Lights 

 

On Thursday the kids received a chicken leg with their regular meal ….This is  a big deal and the kids absolutely love it …. I wasn’t really feeling well on this day but God gave me enough strength to go take pictures …. Going back to one of my earlier post …. It’s so awesome to see the joy on the kids faces over the simplest of things to us back in the states …l I’m really learning what it means to be truly thankful for what I have and when you put all of your trust in God his plan is the best …


After this I went with Gabby to take some photos of some solar lights being installed in some of the houses … There were 6 installed this past week  … Again really cool to see the joy on their faces …. This is what life is about “Being Jesus” in everything we do ….
Saturday morning 3:30am wake up call from Jean Mary coming down the road …. He picked me up on the Moto we went to his house dropped the Moto off then walked down to the bus station to be picked up from the bus so we could head to the airport to pick up the Solid Rock Team . It was pretty a awesome walk the stars were bright and it was really peaceful …. While we were waiting at the bus station Jean Mary’s Dad came walking down the hill at the time I didn’t know who it was …. He was carrying a machete …. Jean Mary looked at me and said we are going to die …. Then he laughed and said its just my dad …. Love how he jokes around  with me ….
Church was amazing today !!!! More people came to accept Jesus Christ !!! And the Kingdom of Heaven keeps increasing !!! Couple of teen boys sat by me in church again today …. So awesome how hungry they are for God ….
If your reading this and you have an extra $30 dollars a month that you usually put towards fun for yourself … I would encourage you to pray about sponsoring a young child in the Restore Haiti Feeding program !!! You will change a child’s life …. I’m seeing this 1st hand the joy it brings to their life …. You will also be sending them to school …. The other day I watched a few of the kids in their school uniforms come to the pastors house and show the report cards to the pastor …. This is also something they put alot of effort into …. When your pouring your love into them they can feel that!!! So please consider sponsoring a young child today !!! You will be making a difference so they can make a difference in their community …..

Mirror Images of the Holy Spirit !!!!  25 /26

 


Today I went to the center to enter more heights and weights for the kids ….. After we were finished doing this we were in for another treat …. Fedony and his wife asked us to join Pastor Lefluer and his team for lunch at their house , as I was sitting in their living room I had to hold back tears …. I’m really learning a lot about true servant hood and what it means to love like Jesus …. Incredible!!!
After this I became really tired … I’m respecting my body and when I get tired I just take a nap ….
Today Jean Mary ,Anna , and I went to the beach we had lunch “lobster” so good and then just relaxed … Another great day !!
I was relaxing in my room and I heard Jean Mary calling for me out in the dining room … He said lets go to the center and handed me some boxes for cakes … When we arrived at the center Marie Laure had a smile on her face such a sweet lady …. She baked another cake for me !!!!
Church was awesome tonight this community continues to be on fire !!!!Some of the younger teenage boys  are starting to sit next to me in church the ones I have had one on one conversations with …. They are hungry for The Holy Spirit !!!  I’m getting to dive into scripture with them and they want my pen to underline the verses I have underlined in my Bible ..
Last night one of the members from Team#4 gave a powerful message it was Holy Spirit driven !!! He spoke from Galatians  6:7-10 & Ephesians 2:10  he then spoke of Elijah very powerful moment in the service the church was tuned in and focused !!!
It was getting towards the end of the service one of the gentlemen from the Antigua team shared his testimony , when he was finished …. There was an update from Rodrigue’s mother she expressed how thankful she was that her son was still alive (a very touching moment ) .. He was in a very serious accident at the beginning of the month …. Yesterday he returned to his home by the church !!! Prayer is and always will be a powerful tool !!! The expression of  something physical turned into something supernatural , and in its return Holy Spirit Driven !!
After church was over there was a glow around the moon … Certain things keep reminding me how powerful this community is !! To me this represented how this community continues to be a shinning light for those surrounding it !!

Always Live In A Place Of Expectancy !! Day 24 

 


Sunday church …. A day when the roof gets blown off the building because they worship so hard !! When preparing for service I feel like I’m going into battle that’s already been won !! The enemy may have schemes and plans but they sure don’t work here … God has taken his heel and crushed the enemy’ s head !!!
We started the service speaking from Acts 2:38 ….. We started worshiping and singing and the presence of the Holy Spirit was heavy !!!! We began just singing “ooooh” and it was the most beautiful sound ever!!! We did this for over 30minutes Pastor Lefluer began prophesying over people I was sitting in the front row he placed his hand on my head and began to speak words of the spirit into my thinking !!!! …. He then touched my stomach and began to speak words of the spirit that would stir my soul !!!!After that it seemed as if the heavens opened up … I’m really not sure how to describe it but their were ladies of the church that have been carrying a generational curse …. The power of heaven began breaking that evil spirit and they began to lay prostrate and were soaked in the Holy Spirit …..  People are seeing their destiny here and God’s presence is heavy …. Every time I feel a cool breeze here it’s as if the Holy Spirit is breathing on the community and reminding them be still and know that I am good and I am closer than the skin on your bones … I will give you rest when you need rest , I will give you strength when you need strength , and I will give you peace when life seems to be chaotic ..
Anna shared a special song today in service and Pastor Lefluer said she had a voice of an angel …. Now I have heard her sing before , but there was something different about her singing in church … It was a pretty awesome moment !!! Again it was God Breathed !!!!!
After an amazing time of worship one of the ladies that came with Pastor Lefluer gave the message … She said she had prepared one, but the Holy Spirit was speaking to her during the service and she felt called to preach on what he was telling her… She had us turn to Isaiah 43:17 … What an amazing message on and great reminder that God wants to do “New Things” for us each day of our lives … A few great statements she had were

*Fear causes us to hesitate to move forward …. And experience God’s newness … It’s important to break the spirit of fear and allow God to Flow in you 

*When you embrace something new it causes you to change the way you think

*Always live in a place of expectancy 

*You can’t receive what you cannot expect 

*We should wake everyday and expect new things from God
As we were having lunch Jean Mary leaned over to me and said , Chris this is exactly what we were talking about yesterday on our ride to and from PAP airport …. I said yes that’s exactly how God works , it was a fresh reminder to us that we were able to soak in again …. And it was an amazing blessing to others who hadn’t heard it yet !!!! God is so Good!!!
The kitchen ladies wanted a piece of the cake that was made for me the other day …. It’s been in the fridge …. What a precious moment wheni walked into the kitchen after eating dinner they all had a smile on there face when I opened the fridge…. The spirit of giving fell fresh on me …. These ladies work hard every single day to provide a good meal for me …. All though a piece of cake isn’t much …. It meant the world to them …. To see their smiling faces brought absolute joy to my heart ….
Sundays are a day when Anna and I go to the hotel to relax to prepare for the next week …. This Sunday will be the last Sunday I can say Anna and I as she leaves this coming Thursday …. So tonight were going to celebrate with Jean Mary who has been an awesome blessing for each of us providing transportation bringing us from one place to the next …
Today is a day that I can’t forget …. The 2 most inspiring people in my life have been together for 34yrs … John &Rhonda Bischoff are why I am where I am today they have constantly prayed for me and poured everything they have into me !!! I am truly blessed to have such amazing parents who taught me what it is to serve and put myself last and others first …. Thanks mom and dad for everything you have done !!!

Speechless!!!!! Day 22/23

I Spent the day at the center today relaxing and loading pics and videos … Got to FaceTime with Paul Williams !!!! As I was packing my things I was told to go downstairs to where the ladies were hanging out …. I was presented with a cake that Marie Laure , Fedony’s wife made for me ….. So good !!!!!  Today I’m going to make the trip to PAP ….  With Jean Mary dropping the Atlanta team off and picking up another team …. I’ve always loved the drive through the mountains …. Today I get to do it twice !!!!  When we got there we had a few minutes to spare so Jean Mary asked me if I wanted to get something to eat at the market ….. So we went to the gas station and I got a cheeseburger ….. It tasted like heaven !!!!! We went back to the airport and waited for the arrival of the next team ….  On the way back Jean Mary and I had some great and deep conversation about God’s Abundance …. He began to explain to me how people think he is rich …. He said ” I am rich ,in God’s Goodness … He blesses me everyday and that’s why I walk around proclaiming his goodness …. He has been so good to me … Again this is why I am here to have conversations like this, I really felt the presence of God riding through the mountains and listening  to him share his testimony … What an amazing light he is for this community !!!!!  Psalm 145:7 They Celebrate your abundant goodness and joyfully sing of your righteousness ….  In the 23 days  I have been here I have experienced so much joy … Working with the teams ,holding a child , having one on one conversations with a few of the people in the community …. And even getting a chance to talk with Anna the other day was really good and God Breathed .A women of God that has so much talent and I could see the enemy trying to attack her thinking of what her purpose was …. I said this isn’t  going to happen… I said let me pray for you but when im done i want you to pray out loud to God and begin to release all the things the enemy is attacking you with ….. Let it Go and let God’s presence start to refresh you … I feel a sense of charge and can feel the prayers from everyone back home God continues to pour into me through those prayers so that I’m able to give a good word to someone … But in doing so I am receiving strength each day …. So awesome !!!!! As we dropped the team off at the hotel Jean Mary and I unloaded the bags for the team and relaxed and used the internet …. As we were sitting there he was reading some Facebook messages …. He let me read one from Parker Burnham . Pretty touching …. He said why do they want to meet me …. I said you have a Glow about you that people want to cling to … Your attitude is always positive , your singing and worshiping Jesus constantly … People want that !!! And without even knowing what Sarah Burnham wrote him the other day the meaning of his name … Gracious ,Star of the sea…. This day has left me speechless and I’m loving every minute of it !!!! Well that’s it from Jacmel until tomorrow or maybe Monday !!!! Blessings!!!!

Day 19 / Seek God And know that He is Good !!!!!!

 
Last night I actually slept with a sheet over me …. First time ever in Haiti …. Woke up today ate breakfast and went to the worksite to carry more cinder blocks down the hill …. I’ve officially lost 7lbs since June 1st … A few things I’ve learned since I’ve been here … My body doesn’t need the snacks I need all the time back in the states … I’m good with 3 meals a day and lots of water … It’s a great training for when I return to the states …

Wednesday morning I didn’t sleep very well last night …. I heard some voodoo going on from 2am til about 430…. Very very evil sounding I began to pray that God will shake the temples and that they come to know who is really in control ….. As I was praying a cool and refreshing breeze entered my room the blanket that covers the window gave way so that I could see the stars , My God is bigger than any problem and will intervene and have his way here in this community ….. I woke up later than normal had breakfast and went to help the Atlanta team on day 3 of cinder blocks ….. This is an amazing workout , I’m not sure how far it is but it’s straight down and after your done you have to turn around and face the hill to get back to the top to grab more bricks …. Each time i got to the top I was having to pray for strength …. It was back to the regular temperature today “HOT” …. …. The progress on the house is coming along great …. Really awesome to see a house from the beginning stages and possibly get to see it done before I leave …. Tonight the women have a conference so I’m chilling on the roof at the Pastor’s house and enjoying the beautiful view of the mountains as the sun is setting and a cool breeze rolls in …. I’m truly thankful for what God is doing in the community and in my life as well .. I have always been thankful for the “things” I have back home … But this being my third week living here I have come to appreciate the simple way of living ….. Why on earth do I need all the junk that I have , to see how these people who I call family get by with what they have ,and have a joy that is indescribable … Well  I pretty much answered my own question …. If I were to live a simple life how much more would God show up, each time these kids call my name when I’m literally a mile down the road from them it reminds me of why I am here …. To constantly be a light , and most times that is reversed they are a light to me and helping me press on …. When I’m carrying the blocks, sanding a house , painting a house , I have that running through my head ….. Their smile their laugh , them shouting my name … Or I hear them singing a beautiful song that they were singing in church ….
As I’m sitting here the roof is about to come of the church ….. The women are getting their praise on …. So beautiful to hear them sing !!! Tonight I talked a lot with Jean Piere Stevenson he told me a lot about his family ,and I did the same …. I explained to him that it was hard for me to sleep the other night because of the voodoo , he went on to tell me that he prays for the people that are involved with that everyday that they would come to know Jesus , he also went on to say that he has witnessed to the voodoo priest before and told him about Jesus and explained to him that Our God is different than the many that he serves … This kid is 16yrs old and is a earth shaker so awesome to have a conversation with him last night …. Although his mom and dad are not together they are all Christians , he told me how he lead his father to Christ … What an inspiration this kid is !!!!
Today I’m entering heights and weights of the kids from the feeding program  Then at 5pm Thursday I will be playing basketball with Rudy from the Atlantaand Sammy and a few other guys from the community …. Really stoked for this !!!!

Day 18 / Rest Easy

 

 

Woke up today and Anna wasn’t feeling well, please keep her in your prayers the enemy is really trying to attack her from all sides , pray that she will be able to apply the armor of God to fend of the enemy … Pray that she gets the rest that she needs so she feels better ..
As I’m sitting here listening to some Jesus Culture and doing some devos on the roof , I’m watching Pastor Rodrigue his wife Erika and David greet the kids on their way to school in front of the Pastors house with a smile and word of encouragement so cool …
After breakfast I went with the Atlanta team to carry cinder blocks down the hill , it was about 30 degrees cooler today then the last time I did it … It was a refreshing workout … After the worksite we came back to the house I was seating on the mercy seat with one of the women from the Atlanta team and we were having a great conversation , God continues to use me for not only helpingthe people here but helping people I have never even met, she said she was struggling to find her purpose and what talents she has , I said this is the perfect place to find out what God is saying to you , it just takes a little effort in getting up early finding a quiet place , and begin to seek his face and diving into scripture ” incline your ear ” to what the Lord is saying … He might be whispering something to you and you haven’t taken the time to rest easy and release the things that are on your heart … I also said you may not have found out why you came on this trip yet , but if you continue to put everything you have in what your doing God will show you and you will immediately know ..
After the awesome conversation we had we ate lunch and went to the feeding program… Towards the end Gabby Steve and Sebastion took us to go “Mango Hunting ” this was towards the river behind the church I heard someone shouting my name it was Vineal and his sister as I was passing their house … So I went back to pick him up and and take him with me .. His mom was there and just smiled at me … As if to say thank you so much …breaks my heart every time … Love that family so much … we continued on the trail Steve was shouting my name to catch up to the group so Vineal signaled to me to run and off we went … We caught up to the group and Gabby was throwing rocks at the tree to knock down the mangos , after he finished this he climbed about a 100ft tree and went to the top and knocked the mangos of the branches for us …. Rudy and his brother Greg who are from the Atlanta team jumped up in the tree with him but not as high … It was pretty cool to have a 30 minute guys trip down to a tree by the river to get some mangos …
On our way back I was the last in the line again and Vineal’s Mom called out to me so I went and stopped at the house she had bag full of mangos for me … So good !!  Looks like another night of rain …. It’s refreshing God is providing rest and relaxation and a cool breeze … Things sometimes we just take for granted … It’s time for dinner and chill time … Digging deep into scripture and reading a book called “Wisdom Walks” tonight‘s chapter was entitled ” Pray It Up ” and it started off with a quote by Jon Wesley it reads “Pray like it all depends on God , Work like it all depends on you ” … It goes on later I. The chapter and gives the 8 P’s to praying …

Luke 5:16 So he himself often withdrew from the wilderness and prayed ..
So we have the same tool that Jesus possessed , that’s why prayer is such a powerful tool that we carry … It’s an amazing link between us and God !!
I went back and looked at a few notes from a audio lesson by Graham Cooke

No more fear, no anxiety,no partnering with worry,no relationship with doubt,no unbelief,they all have to be banished from our mindset,from our heart,from our very life,none of these things get us anything and there all destructive to who you are ,not just to the circumstances that were in , Were learning to travel in trust,faith,and hope ,Were learning to walk with God in the delight of who He is …. When we’re up against the enemy and we feel like we can’t win , it’s important to have a default position ,this being that we are a “Much Loved Child of God” I can do anything!!!!!!!

If you pick up all the brilliant things that God wants to give you in your current circumstances , You will grow in substance ,And maybe He will take you to a town or a city,and what you release out of your encounter with God can cover a whole bunch of people , But God wants to give you things , that could set hundreds and thousands of people free, If He can connect you with your destiny,and then he can put you with a bunch of people,your destiny  will actually release their destiny in that bunch of people !!!!  ~ Graham Cooke ~
